ELEVATION CERTIFICATES

AN ELEVATION CERTIFICATE WILL USUALLY REDUCE THE COST OF FLOOD INSURANCE TO THE HOMEOWNER

Due to technological limitations, most of the flood maps that FEMA uses are generalized and not completely accurate.  Although a property may lie within a Special Flood Hazard Zone, the true flood risk will not be known until a Licensed Land Surveyor conducts a survey of the structure and of the surrounding topography.

Important areas are:

*Crawlspace Configuration

*Elevation of the Floor of the structure

*Elevation of the Adjacent, Natural Grade next to the structure

*Flow paths in the yard

*Elevation of the curb in front of the property

We can provide an Elevation Certificate within about 48 hours of your call.  I will meet with you personally, and perform all of the survey work myself.

During the course of our site survey, we will also assess the possibility of amending the FEMA Maps to show that your structure is in fact OUT of the Special Flood Hazard Zone.  We can complete the submittal of this documentation on your

behalf.  The Removal Process is called a                                   (Letter of Map Amendment)
